Algona sweeps H-D

HAMPTON – Algona’s swift, diverse attack proved too much for the Hampton-Dumont volleyball team in a 3-0 sweep on Thursday, Sept. 21.
The visitors rolled out to an insurmountable first set lead and had control for much of the match.
Even when coach Kelli Showalter’s team got a lead in the third and final set, it couldn’t hang on. The largest lead was eight on two different occasions, 14-6 and again at 18-10, but Algona kept chipping away.
