AGWSR pair reach medal stand

DES MOINES – Caleb Meinders doesn’t mind being compared to his older brother Clay.
The AGWSR junior and senior teammate Michael Young made noise at the Class 1A state wrestling tournament in Des Moines last week, each nabbing a spot on the medal stand on Saturday night.
A tough week of wrestling garnered a seventh place finish for Meinders and sixth for Young to represent the Cougars.
Before Saturday’s place-round matches, Meinders talked about the numerous comparisons he’s faced with his older brother, who was a two-time placewinner (seventh and third).
