AGWSR, H-D duke it out in softball opener

ACKLEY – As the opener between host AGWSR and Hampton-Dumont turned toward the sixth inning, it looked like a cut-and-dried win for the Cougars in this softball contest.
The sixth inning on turned out to be anything but in a dramatic back-and-forth over the final two full innings for an eventual 7-6 victory for AGWSR on Tuesday, May 23.
Rallies by both teams in the sixth and seventh resulted in the game’s first lead changes and AGWSR walked it off in the end on a two-run double by Mariah Jimmerson.
