Abigail Florence Compton

Abigail Florence Compton, 94, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa.  She was born on April 27, 1920, in Hampton, Iowa, to Ralph and Ruth (Hudson) Gilchriest.   

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Sheffield, Iowa, with Pastor Sandi Gobeli officiating.  Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Tuesday. Burial took place in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.  The Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton handled the arrangements.
