2nd Hansen victim files lawsuit – this one in federal district court

A second victim of former doctor Brian J. Hansen has filed a lawsuit in federal court – targeting Hansen, Franklin General Hospital, Franklin County, Mercy Health Services, human resources manager Victoria "Vicky" Kruse and hospital CEO Kim Price, alleging sexual harassment, sex and disability discrimination, retaliation, sexual exploitation, and other abuse.     

     The complaint filed by Nicole Whitney, a former employee of Franklin General Hospital, is an action under the Iowa Civil Rights Act, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act.

     Whitney is represented by the Urbandale-based law firm of Fielder & Timmer.

     Brooke Timmer, one of the attorneys representing Whitney, said her law firm did a very detailed complaint and said the hospital fired Whitney in retailiation for her allegations at the time against Brian Hansen.
