HAMPTON – The annual Beeds Lake Restoration Run was held on Saturday, Aug. 27 with a half marathon, 10K, 5K and Tadpole Trot. HAMPTON – Hampton saw an increase in its third summer of hosting the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp last week in East Park. After 36 took part a year ago, the camp registered 42 youths from ages 3 to 16, including close to 10 age 3-4. DES MOINES – Hampton-Dumont’s Cassy Miller earned Class 3A third team all-state by the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association, announced late last week. The junior shortstop claimed a spot on the final team as 22 were honored on each of the three teams in Class 3A. She was among three from the area to earn all-state honors by the IGCA....

DES MOINES – AGWSR senior infielder Dylan Heetland was recognized by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association for being first team academic all-state, announced Monday, Aug. 1.
